AMIR Islamic University This
program provides courses in Arabic and Islamic studies in
a unique home-study program affiliated with Al-Azhar
University of Cairo and accredited by Abu Nour Institute
of Damascus. The courses are suitable for Muslims as well
as for those interested in Islam for the purposes of
travel, education and personal interest. Special emphasis
on women's studies as well as discounts for female
students. While I have not tried the courses myself, it
seems that AMIR is worth investigation and consideration.
Dr. Bari's On-line Parenting Course Learn
about parenting from the Islamic perspective in this
series of lectures by Dr. Muhammad Abdul Bari, a writer
and educator as well as the founder of Islamic Forum
Europe. The lectures contain thought-provoking questions
on their content as well as short quizzes to help readers
focus on their main points.
Alchemy of the Heart This

Maulud's work "The Diseases of the Heart" and
discusses the relationship between the condition of one's
heart in relation to his or her level of faith: it is an
excellent essay which explains how one may open and
purify his heart in order to achieve better relations
with family and friends, higher levels of taqwa (God-consciousness)
and a return to his natural fitrah.
