Building an Islamic Web-Site,
Part IV:
Using Frontpage Express
(How to View a Document)
So far, we have covered writing an article in Frontpage and saving an article in Frontpage. Once you have created and saved a document, you are ready to see how it looks in the browser.
There are different ways to open an HTML document in a browser but I will just mention two common ways.
Let's say you have saved the file on your desktop. Simply click (or double-click, depending on how your system is configured) on the icon for it and it should open as a web-page.
Alternatively, you may open the browser first and choose File from the menu options at the top of the page. Select Open. A quicker way to do this is simply to press Ctrl + O. Choose Browse and look for your file. Once you find it, select it and click on Open and that should do it.
The way your article looks in the broswer is the way it will look to others when you eventually upload it to your site.
Do you want to edit your document? If using Internet Explorer, just click on the Edit Icon from the top of your page (not Edit from the menu options) and this should open up Frontpage Express for you provided that it is your default HTML editor.
